Jet black wool runs the full longline body, black Full Grain Cowhide leather covers both sleeves, and a ribbed stand collar closes at the throat above a full snap-button placket. Ribbed knit cuffs finish each sleeve, the welt pockets take a slim leather trim that matches the sleeves, and a center back vent lets the coat move instead of restricting the stride a length like this needs.

This is the first coat in our women's line, and the proportions are the whole point. A women's varsity coat follows the same wool-body, leather-sleeve letterman formula stretched to knee length, but it's drafted for a woman's frame rather than scaled down from a men's longline pattern — a closer waist shaping, a higher armhole, and a hem calibrated to land at the same point regardless of torso length. Same formula, different blueprint.

Care Instructions

A coat this long meets the ground differently than a jacket does — the back vent and hem edge take the brunt of stepping in and out of cars or up stairs.
