There's no store rack to test against, so this guide replaces that fitting room: five minutes with a tape measure, one chart lookup, and you'll know your size with the same confidence as trying it on in person. How to Measure Yourself
All you need is a soft tape measure and, ideally, a second person to help — or a jacket you already own and like the fit of, which you can lay flat and measure directly. Take measurements over a light layer of clothing, not bare skin, since that's how the jacket will actually be worn.
- Chest (Body): Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, keeping it level and snug but not tight. This is your Body Chest measurement — match it to the "Body Chest (Fits Up To)" column in the chart below.
- Chest (garment): Lay a jacket you already own flat on a table, buttoned or zipped closed. Measure straight across from armpit to armpit, then double that number — this is the Garment Chest measurement, and it should be compared against the "Garment Chest" column, not the Body Chest column. Use this method if you're sizing against a jacket you love the fit of, rather than your own body.
- Shoulder width: Measure straight across your back from the edge of one shoulder bone to the other. On an existing jacket, this is the distance seam-to-seam across the back.
- Sleeve length: With your arm relaxed at your side and slightly bent, measure from the edge of your shoulder down to your wrist bone. On an existing jacket, measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Body length: Measure from the highest point of your shoulder, near the base of your neck, straight down to where you want the jacket to end. On an existing jacket, measure from the collar seam down to the bottom hem.
Write all four numbers down, then find where your chest measurement lands in the "Body Chest (Fits Up To)" column for your style and gender below — that row is your size.

A varsity jacket isn't cut like a standard coat — the block is boxier through the body, the shoulder seam sits differently, and most styles carry a little extra room built in for layering. That's by design, but it also means fit varies more between our own styles than it would between two "regular" jackets, so it's worth knowing what you're getting before you pick a size.
- Classic Varsity Jacket: Our truest-to-size fit. Structured shoulder seam sits close to your natural shoulder line, with enough room in the body for a hoodie or sweater underneath.
- Oversized Varsity Jacket: Built with a dropped shoulder — the seam sits past your natural shoulder line, which is what gives the relaxed, streetwear silhouette. If you want that boxier look, order true to your usual size; if you'd rather it read closer to a classic fit, size down.
- Cropped Varsity Jacket (Women's): Shorter body length that sits at or above the natural waist. Because it runs shorter, pay closer attention to the Body Length column, not just the chest, when deciding between two sizes.
- Varsity Coat: A longer-length silhouette meant to be worn over other outerwear or heavier layers. The Body Chest allowance is already generous to accommodate that — you generally don't need to size up to make room for a sweater underneath.
