This letterman takes a vivid red body in heavyweight 24-ounce melton wool and grounds it with black pebbled top grain cowhide sleeves, black-and-red striped ribbing, and — the detail that changes the whole attitude — blacked-out matte snaps instead of the usual bright hardware. Black leather piping frames both welt pockets, and the Varsity Forge woven label sits stitched inside the collar.

The darker sleeve does something practical too: it hides wear, sharpens the silhouette, and lets the red carry all the attention. Worn over black it looks deliberate; over denim it looks effortless. Care Instructions

Dry cleaning only — the wool body and cowhide sleeves need separate treatment that no home machine can give. A lint brush keeps the red wool sharp between cleans, black leather hides scuffs but still wants conditioning once or twice a year, and a sturdy wide hanger will hold the shoulder line for the life of the jacket.
