Red and Black Leather Varsity Jacket
Red and Black Leather Varsity Jacket
The color break is the whole design. Scarlet top grain cowhide pours over the shoulders and down both sleeves, then hands off to a jet black body at a clean yoke seam — no patches, no lettering, just two hides doing the work a logo usually does. Silver snaps track down the front, and the welt pockets open through thin slots of red, like brake lights set into the black.
On any jacket, the yoke is the panel spanning the shoulders and upper chest — the piece that carries the garment's weight and decides how it hangs. Cutting it in contrast leather is an old baseball-jacket trick that squares the shoulders visually and structurally at once. The ribbing follows the same two-color rule, knitting red and black stripes into the collar, cuffs, and hem so the palette never breaks, front or back.

Fit & Sizing
The contrast yoke sits square across the shoulders and keeps them looking set, while the black body runs roomy enough for a tee or light knit and the striped hem anchors the jacket at the hip.
Model reference: Shown on a 6'1" (185 cm), 170 lb (77 kg) model in size Medium.
Order the size you normally wear if the pictured fit is the goal; go up one when heavier layers are part of your routine. Measure a favorite jacket and hold it against the size chart before buying — the finished numbers settle sizing questions the photos can't.
Why This Jacket
- Contrast yoke construction — the red panel is a separate cut of hide seamed across the shoulder line, adding structure exactly where a jacket earns its shape
- Two-color discipline — red and black only, carried through the leather, the striped knits, and the pocket piping with nothing to dilute it
- Brake-light pockets — slim red piping frames both welt pockets so the front stays graphic even with the snaps closed
- Silver snap hardware — a cool metallic counterpoint that keeps the warm red from taking over the whole jacket
- Top grain cowhide in both colors — genuine outer-layer hide throughout, so the red and the black age at the same honest pace
Care Instructions
Dyed red leather holds its saturation best when it stays out of prolonged direct sun, so store this one in a closet rather than on a hook by a window. Clean each panel with a soft cloth barely dampened with water, let the jacket air-dry at room temperature, and condition once or twice a year — working along the yoke seam gently so product doesn't build up in the stitching.
