Forest Green Varsity Jacket, Full Wool
Forest Green Varsity Jacket, Full Wool
Forest green wool with cream sleeves — the deep, needle-and-pine shade of green rather than the bright one, matched to a cream that reads warmer than white against it. The body carries a dense, brushed wool face, cream-and-green striped ribbing bands the collar, cuffs, and hem, white snaps run the placket with two more on the hem tab, and the slanted welt pockets take a strip of cream trim that ties them to the sleeves. The back is a solid field of green, ready to stay that way.
The name on the title is a build, not a flourish. A full wool varsity jacket carries wool in both the body and the sleeves instead of the traditional wool-body, leather-sleeve combination — the result is a softer drape, less weight on the shoulders, and one fabric that ages evenly across the whole jacket. It's the version to choose when warmth and comfort outrank contrast.

Fit & Sizing
Classic and square through the chest — wool's natural body holds the varsity shape without padding, and the set-in sleeves land clean at the shoulder point instead of drooping past it.
Model reference: Shown on a 6'1" (185 cm), 170 lb (77 kg) model in size Medium.
Go with your usual size; there's layering room built in without the jacket ever reading oversized. Measure your chest once against the size chart before ordering — wool sleeves can't be let out later.
Why This Jacket
- Wool in both halves — the sleeves insulate as well as the body, which two-material jackets can't claim
- Forest, not kelly — the darker green wears like a neutral and flatters more of a wardrobe
- Cream against green — warmer than white here, pulling the whole jacket toward heritage Ivy rather than sportswear
- The cold-season varsity — this is the one to reach for when satin weather ends
- Trim that connects — cream welt edges echo the sleeves so the front reads as one design, not parts
Care Instructions
The one thing that ruins wool isn't dirt — it's friction with water. Hot water plus rubbing felts the fibers permanently, shrinking and stiffening the fabric with no way back, so when something lands on the cream sleeves, blot it with a cloth dampened in cold water and press straight down; never scrub. Let the spot air-dry flat, then raise the nap back up with a fingertip. For everything else, the green hides a week of wear better than any light color could.
