Brown leather forms the entire body and sleeves in an oversized, dropped-shoulder cut, with a pointed shirt-style leather collar and a silver-tone zipper running the full front closure. Instead of ribbed knit banding, the waistband and cuffs are cinched with shirred, self-tone elastic gathered directly into the leather, pulling the balloon-shaped sleeves and hem in without adding a separate knit trim piece. Two vertical welt pockets sit straight at the hip in self-brown.

This is the first style in our leather lineup to cinch its waist and cuffs with shirred elastic instead of ribbed knit trim, giving it a softer, more gathered finish at the hem than the banded look on our other bombers. Paired with the pointed collar it shares with our snap-front style, it leans closer to a relaxed shirt-jacket than a traditional letterman silhouette.

The shirred elastic at the cuffs and waist gathers the leather in without needing a fitted cut underneath, so the balloon sleeve stays voluminous through the arm while still pulling in at the wrist.

Because the elastic cuffs and waist do the fitting work, this jacket has a bit more built-in flexibility than a rigid ribbed-knit trim would. Still, check our size chart against your usual jacket size before ordering.

Care Instructions

The shirred elastic at the cuffs and waist can lose some of its stretch over time if it's exposed to direct heat, so keep this jacket away from radiators, dryers, or direct sun during storage rather than just treating it like the leather alone. Condition the leather itself every few months with a leather-specific product, and let the elastic relax naturally after wear instead of stretching it deliberately.
