Blue Varsity Jacket, Cropped Satin
Blue Varsity Jacket, Cropped Satin
Navy blue satin forms the entire jacket — body, sleeves, and back panel cut from the same fabric with no color-blocking panel, so the contrast happens on the trim instead: a ribbed knit collar, cuffs, and waistband each carry a double white stripe against navy ribbing. Six white snap buttons close the front placket, and two besom pockets sit flush at the hip without added welt trim to break up the smooth satin surface.
A satin varsity jacket, technically speaking, describes the weave rather than the fiber — a tight, glossy weave that gives the fabric its sheen and drape without adding the weight of wool or the structure of leather. That's what separates this piece from the rest of our varsity line: it's built to layer light, hold a crisp cropped shape without bulk, and catch light differently than a matte wool body does under the same collar-and-stripe construction.

Fit & Sizing
This jacket holds a cropped, boxy shape true to the rest of our cropped varsity line — the satin has more drape than wool or leather, so it skims the body through the shoulder and sleeve rather than sitting stiff, while the ribbed waistband still cinches in at the hip for a defined hem.
Model reference: Shown on a 5'7" (170 cm), 121 lb (55 kg) model in size Small.
Because satin doesn't stretch and this is already a cropped fit, size up if you want to wear anything heavier than a T-shirt or thin layer underneath. Run your chest and shoulder measurements against our size chart before you order to land the right size.
Why This Jacket
- Single-fabric build, not two-tone — the body and sleeves are cut from the same navy satin, so the only color contrast comes from the ribbing, not a mismatched sleeve panel.
- Quilted lining underneath the sheen — the smooth satin shell has a quilted interior lining, so it holds more warmth than the lightweight outer fabric suggests.
- Six-snap placket for a cleaner close — an extra snap over our standard five-snap front for a tighter line down the chest.
- Lightweight enough to layer under a coat — without the bulk of wool or the stiffness of leather, it works as a mid-layer instead of just an outer layer.
- Cropped hem built for high-rise everything — sits right above the waistband, so it doesn't fight with high-rise denim or trousers.
Care Instructions
Satin snags more easily than wool or leather, so keep it away from velcro, rough zippers, or anything abrasive that can catch the weave and pull a thread. If it needs de-wrinkling, skip the iron directly on the fabric — the heat can scorch or flatten the sheen — and use a garment steamer held a few inches away instead. Hang it on a padded hanger rather than a wire one to keep the shoulders from developing a stretched-out point where the fabric has the least structure.
