Black Leather Varsity Jacket, Snap Front

Black leather forms the entire body and sleeves in a relaxed, oversized cut, with raglan seams running from the underarm up to a pointed, shirt-style leather collar instead of the ribbed knit collar on our other bomber styles. The front closes with a concealed snap placket, so no snap hardware shows on the outside — just a clean leather flap down the center front. A black-and-white striped ribbed knit trims the cuffs and waistband, and two slanted welt pockets sit at an angle at the hip.

This is the first style in our leather lineup built with a pointed collar instead of a ribbed knit one, and the oversized, dropped-shoulder cut sets it apart from the tailored fit of our other bombers. Between the hidden placket and the fuller sleeve, it reads closer to an oversized shirt-jacket than a fitted letterman silhouette.

The dropped shoulder and fuller sleeve give this jacket a noticeably looser, boxier fit than our tailored bomber styles, with room to layer a sweater underneath without feeling snug.

Care Instructions

Because the snaps sit under a covered placket rather than out in the open, moisture can get trapped underneath the flap if the jacket is put away damp — let it air out fully before storing, and check under the flap occasionally to make sure the snaps stay dry and don't corrode. Condition the leather every few months with a leather-specific product, and keep the ribbed knit trim away from rough surfaces that could snag the stripe pattern.
