All Black Varsity Jacket Womens
The letterman formula, dressed entirely in black. A matte black wool body meets smooth black Full Grain Cowhide leather sleeves, and the only light in the design comes from the double white stripes banding the collar, cuffs, and hem — plus a row of polished silver snaps down the placket and two more on the hem tab. The welt pockets are finished with slim leather trim that matches the sleeves, and the back panel is clean black wool, edge to edge.
This is the first piece in our women's line, and the cut is the point. A women's varsity jacket follows the same wool-body, leather-sleeve formula as the original letterman but is cut for a woman's frame — narrower through the shoulders, shorter through the body so the hem lands at the high hip, and sleeves scaled so the ribbed cuffs finish at the wrist instead of over it. Same jacket the fifties built; different pattern entirely.

Fit & Sizing
Cut to a woman's proportions rather than sized down from a men's block — the shoulders sit at the shoulder point, the body runs straight without boxiness, and the ribbed hem lands at the high hip where it pairs with high-rise denim.
Model reference: Shown on a 5'7" (170 cm), 121 lb (55 kg) model in size Small.
Take your usual size for the classic stance, or one up if you want it slouchier over hoodies. Measure your chest and check it against the women's size chart before ordering — leather sleeves are cut close and don't stretch the way knit does.
Why This Jacket
- The original formula, her cut — wool body and leather sleeves patterned for a woman's frame, not shrunk from a man's
- Monochrome with punctuation — white stripes and silver snaps are the only interruptions, and they're enough
- Real leather where it counts — full grain cowhide sleeves that break in and take on character with wear
- High-hip length — the hem sits exactly where high-rise jeans and trousers begin
- No letter, no logo — an unmarked black canvas that works over everything you already own
Care Instructions
A two-material jacket needs one rule above all: keep each material's products on its own side of the seam. Leather conditioner darkens wool permanently, so when the sleeves need feeding — once or twice a year — apply it sparingly with a cloth, working away from the shoulder seam, never from a spray. And skip the corner dry cleaner by default: standard solvent strips the oils out of cowhide, so when the jacket truly needs cleaning, take it to a cleaner who explicitly handles leather-and-wool combination garments.
Standard jackets ship in 5–7 business days; made-to-order and personalized jackets take 10–12 days, since each one is built after you order — not pulled from a shelf. Every custom jacket gets a pre-dispatch photo approval before it leaves our floor, so you know exactly what's shipping. Not the right fit? In-stock jackets can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery. Full details in our Return Policy.
